Life is no longer a pain
Discomfort, aches and pain in the shoulder, elbow, heel or back: chronic pain affects body and mind, and lessens the quality of life. When used in conjunction with the Swiss DolorClast method, Extracorporeal Radial Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) relieves musculoskeletal pain even if other therapies proved ineffective.
Swiss DolorClast is an outpatient therapy which fights the causes of chronic pain without the need for injections, medication or surgery. Most patients find considerable relief from pain in just one to three sessions at short intervals.
Knee problems, headaches and migraines, or dizziness: trigger points – often caused by poor body posture or excessive strain – just might be the cause. Swiss DolorClast Method is particularly gentle and effective without the risk of nerve injury due to injection or other procedure.
The advantages of Swiss DolorClast radial shockwave therapy in a nutshell:
• No hospital admission, no complications
• No medication, therefore no side effects
• No surgery, therefore no risk
• Relief from pain in just eight to ten days
• One plug-and-treat method for many applications
NO PAIN, FULL GAIN
The Swiss DolorClast method produces high-intensity shock waves and delivers them to the affected area from the point of contact at the skin surface. Shock wave energy is propagated through a radial expansion to the affected soft tissue. As a result, the therapy activates a self-healing process where pain occurs.
The desired relief is understood to occur at the cellular level. Better blood circulation and the formation of new blood vessels or revascularization results in improved metabolism. This in turn activates cell generation, helps dissolve calcium deposits and leads to the healing of chronically inflamed tissue.
Maximum energy density occurs at the skin surface and dissipates as it radiates away from the applicator tip, eliminating potential damage to healthy tissue.
Shock wave generation in clinical applications has traditionally been created from the conversion of electrical energy into shock wave energy, with the maximum energy density reached at a specific focus depth deep in the body. The objective of these devices was mechanical: the disintegration of kidney stones and other calculi.
EMS has extended its expertise in non-invasive pain therapy to a host of orthopaedic applications for the treatment of near-skin surface indications. The beneficial effects of radial shock wave therapy for the relief of musculoskeletal pain have been widely reported in the scientific literature.
